Celebrating Clean Tech on Indigenous Peoples’ Day

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, four states and numerous cities across the US choose to acknowledge how the colonization of indigenous people of the western hemisphere changed humans’ relationships with the natural world. The shift away from a celebration of Columbus Day took momentum with the 2012 General Assembly of Unitarian Universalists, which passed a resolution condemning the Doctrine of Discovery.
